Plotting to PDF Ignores Points Lineweight

See attached files for reference (left side is plotted directly to printer, right is plotted to PDF then printed)

I have run into the problem where plotting directly through printer works fine and retains it's lineweight settings, points show vividly and match every other lineweight setting in the drawing.

However, when I plot the page to a PDF, the lineweight setting is ignored and becomes nearly transparent. This can also be seen in the preview for "DWG to PDF" or any equivalent way of plotting.

Is this perhaps a plot table problem?

I'm using the standard monochrome.ctb through cad, unmodified at this time.

I have researched for hours and nothing has surfaced as what the problem may be.

Any input would be exceedingly helpful.

The standard monochrome.ctb, unmodified, simply does nothing for lineweights and forces you to put up with whatever the printer/pdf driver uses. Most of us prefer to control all aspects of our output and customize accordingly.

If you want to post the actual problem PDF plus a screenshot of the PLOT command pop-up settings that created it, we can probably confirm that issue for you.
