Plotting fails to print to sheet size other than Arch D

I'm currently running ACAD Architecture 2017, fully updated. And the plotter is HP Designjet T2500.

I can print fine to Arch D page size, if I select any other sheet size it doesn't print. The plot progress dialog box opens and closes. Also most of the time it doesn't add to the plot log, or if it does it just says error or failed to print with no error code.(can't find a plot log to get exact message right now)

I can print other page sizes on other printers or to PDF. I can also print to the T2500 from a PDF file with other page sizes so that leads me to believe its an autocad related issue

Any help would be helpful,

Thanks

Check your printer driver to see if you have access to the paper sizes you are looking to use. If they are available in the driver check your pc3 file on that specific printer to see if the paper sizes are available there.

All the Page sizes are available in both the drive and the pc3 file. I can set up the layout as required. It just only prints when Arch D is selected.

Try setting the BACKGROUNDPLOT system variable to 0. See if this works for you.

Use the Windows driver and not the PC3 file as a test and see if your issue goes away.

I've done both pc3 and windows driver. It appears to be how the windows printer setting interacts with autocad. If I change the page layout from landscape to portrait in the windows printer setting and select Arch E for example, it works, but then when I go back to Arch D, it prints but in portrait mode and needs to be trimmed. The HP autorotate feature doesn't seem to help.

I think my workaround is to make a PC3 file to print the larger sheets and keep the original as is as Arch D is our standard.

Thanks for the ideas

I switched out an HP1050 a few years ago for an HP 2530 and have had nothing but problems with it.  I will finally get something that seems to be reliable and a few months in it will start giving me trouble again.  I have no proof of the cause but I blame it on W10 and updates as the trouble began with moving to W10 and with IT mandated W10 updates.  I am not sure who is to blame ultimately, Autodesk, Microsoft or HP, but of course none of them want to take the blame.  I wish I could get the 1050 back.
