Plotter paper size other than default

Hey All,

I've had this problem for a while and it happened on our last plotter (HP T2500) and out current plotter (Canon TM-305) so I don't think its the plotter. Our office is currently running Autocad Arch  2019 thru 2023.

Our default paper size is set to ArchD in the windows printer settings. Any time I change the the paper to say ArchE1, I can't preview the print (hangs for a second and goes back to print dialog) or print to the plotter. I've made .pc3 files for the different paper size which works, but again if I want to change it quickly to another size, the same happens.

Dwg to PDF works fine and printing any size PDF to the plotter works.

Not a major issues as we can print to pdf, but a pain to quickly print a halfsize drawing from cad.

Anyone know of a root cause of this and hopefully a fix?

AutoCAD rarely does what you want, that's why we all use PC3 files instead: but... make sure you are not fighting your OPTIONS>PLOT tab setting here first

Yup, that was it. I always thought that option was just for the initial paper size when changing printers.

Thanks @pendean
