Plot the inserted dwf, the line weight lost

1, Now I have a dwg file named TEST.dwg, the content like this.

2, I plot it to be a dwf file (A.dwf) using the plotstyle file, in which the red line will be plotted to be 0.35mm.

3, And then I insert the A.dwf into a dwg file, the lines looks like allright.

4, Now I plot the inserted dwf file region to be B.dwf, using the same plotstyle. and then insert the B.dwf into another dwg file. BUT, I find that the line weight of the lines are lost, but the poyline is OK.

SO, what's the problem? How can I plot the insert dwf file with the correct line weight?

Why are you using a plot style table when you have Plines with widths in our DWG file?

Use one or the other, not both, for best results.

I draw using line with different colors, different colors means different width.

If I plot width 0 width for all lines, it will be too thin to read.

So, I will plot the line to be some width using the plot style table.

 

But it fails in plotting the inserted dwf region.

And, if I plot the inserted dwf region to a new dwf file, all the lines will to be the thinest width for all plot style table.

One more time: Use one lineweight method or the other, not both, for best results.

If the lines are too thin, either edit your CTB file for thicker lines or stop using the CTB file or line thickness and use PLINE widths or LWEIGHT settings instead.

Yes, I use the color method by CTB file, while I drawding, all the pline's width is setted to be 0.

When I plot it to be dwf file using CTB file, all the lines and the plines show the correct lineweight.

But if I insert the dwf file to a dwg file, and plot the inserted dwf region again to be a dwf file, all the lines and the plines show the thinest lineweight, looks like the CTB file mailfunctioned.

That becomes an image: content inside images are no longer controlled by your CTB or any other method, they become static/fixes and are treated differently.

Sorry, that's not how the program works.

I used to think so, too.

But, when I inert the dwf file into a dwg file, the lines show the correct lineweight that I need. But after I plot the dwf region(which treated as an image), the lineweight lost, the lines in this region(or in this image) are treated as lines with zero weight!

Not seeing that here in a quick test in R2019.1.2 using the DWF6.PC3 file: can you share actual DWG and DWF files?

I attached the dwg and dwf in the question.

The plines in these files are for comparison to show the diference of the weight.

 

A.dwf is plotted from the TEST.dwg

B.dwf is plotted from the dwf region after insert the A.dwf to a new dwg file

Inspired by you, I test in CAD2016 using the DWF6 eplot.pc3, and the weight shows correct.

But if I use my own DWG TO DWF.pc3 edited from the CAD 2008, the weight shows zero.

So, it's the problem of pc3 of the low version of CAD?

I tested many times, and I found that the problem looks like complex and random.

For different files (even for different regions in the same file), using the same pc3 file and the same ctb file, the result is different! So stange.

 

I attached the test file.

I token a test, and the result is showed in this table.

And the result is: The only determing condition is media in the second plot, if the media orientation is equal to the plot region, the result is OK. The pc3 file and the media in first plot is not the determing conditions.

Another upexpected discovery, after insert the dwf file, if I rotate the dwf exceed a certain angle, the showed lineweght will lost.
