Plot the 'colour display' contents of a ctb file?

Hi,

I've attempted to plot the contents of a ctb file using any one of the 'export to csv' routines floating around the web however what i'd like to include (an never seem to manage) is an actual display of the colour represented by the pen (you will of course realise i am referring to a ctb file rather than stb). Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?

Thank you in advance.

You want to see a color bar next to the color number for example?

Hi,

Yep, that is exactly what I had in mind...

I've done a screen grab of the AutoCAD color selection dialog and written in column and row numbers so the ACI can be figured out easily enough.  The colors aren't arranged randomly, like the periodic table of elements there is a scheme to the madness.

Yep that is certainly an option but given I found myself with a spare 5 minutes I thought I find out if there was a quick and easy solution! Thank you for your prompt and courteous reply.

If you were to consider third party software, ToolPac will let you display a CTB/STB file then plot it as an AutoCAD Table object (with the requested color bars) or print it, export it to Word/Excel, etc.

The image below shows the dialog on top of a TABLE created in an AutoCAD drawing.

Well that screenshot shows exatly what I'd hoped I could manage myself - the price is the issue i'm afaraid, see an awful lot of money for effectively one routine which i need.

Thank you for your assistance.

The package has a lot of exceptionally useful everyday goodies for real AutoCAD users, you will definitely never 'just use one' tool in it if you got it.
