Plot raster and vector graphics to PDF

Is there away to mix raster and vector graphics in a single viewport? Or a way to place multiple viewports ontop of each other and controling what layers plot in what viewport?

Having text and lines plot as raster makes for hideous results that I can't with good conscience share with anyone.

Hi,

>> Is there away to mix raster and vector graphics in a single viewport?

Yes, if you have a raster file inserted/referenced and vectors from AutoCAD like lines, circles, ... no problem.

Also this is possible, but a bit critical to handle for users not knowing there are 2 or more viewports overlapping each other.

Sorry, I was not precise enough in my question. I want to plot point clouds (which by necessity are plots as raster) at the same time as I plot text and other vector graphics.

It'll be tricky, sure, but possibly easier than plotting twice (with changed settings, layers hidden etc. between plots) and combining the result PDFs into one outside of Autocad. How can I set a layer (or object, or type of object) to only plot in a chosen viewport and not in others?

Hi,

Because of the visual style you need to set to a rendered style.

In one viewport you can only have one visual style enabled, so this seems to bring you to overlapping viewports.

When you are inside a viewport and you start the layer-manager you can use the column "VP-Freeze" to freeze a layer only in the current viewport.
