Plot Nag: "Adobe PDF: This plotter configuration cannot be used"

My employer recently ditched Adobe Acrobat in favor of a lower-cost alternative.  Since the replacement, every time use the plot command I get this message.  I would like to know how to get rid of this message once and for all.

Thanks for any assistance.

Pete

Since Adobe PDF is not shipped with AutoCAD and relies on a 3rd party app to generate the pdf (in this case Adobe Acrobat) & now that you've uninstalled it from your Windows OS, you still have to remove that Adobe PDF device from your AutoCAD Plotters list.

At AutoCAD command prompt enter:

PLOTTERMANAGER

Explorer opens to location where all the Plotters are stored.

Select the Adobe PDF.pc3 file and delete

.... or create a new PC3 file that you just name "Adobe PDF" that aims at your new or preferred pdf driver, and call it a day.

My guess is perhaps you never knew (or forgot) before today that all plot settings are stored in each DWG file in each tab separately, and no system setting will ever be accessed. So you can't just get rid of that alert. Ever. Sorry.

Plotter info (page setup) is saved in the DWG.

The only way to get rid of an obsolete (non-existent on your system) page setup is to replace it with "none" or another valid page setup and save the DWG (or DWT) that way..
