Hello,
I am trying to write a simple macro to plot to a printer on my network at work. Here is what I have:
^C^C^C-PLOT;Y;Layout1;//mcafs/HP LJ 5200 PCL 5 (Plotroom West);11x17;I;L;N;w;0,0;36,24;1:2.05;c;y;MCA Laserjet.ctb;y;n;n;n;n;n;Y;
If you look closely, you'll notice that the name of the printer on the network begins with //. I cannot find a way to get around this syntax. I've tried using \\ instead to pretend its a directory, but to no prevail. I believe it's looking for the specific name of the printer. I also tried "//mcafs/HP LJ 5200 PCL 5 (Plotroom West)" but I cannot get it to play out.
I would happily type it out, but because it has such a large name, it would take just as long to click "previous plot" in the plot user window.
Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,
use the plotter manager to create a PC3 file from that plotter connection, then you can use the PC3 name and you have not to specify the network path.
Another option to get a PC3 created is to start plot-dialog, select your device and then click right from the selected plotter to properties, there you can also create a PC3 for that device.
