Hello there,

ACAD2017 - On using PDFATTACH command, am able to select the PDF file, but do not see the page selection/insertion dialog box. Used to work fine, not sure what variable got changed. FILEDIA is set to 1. Please advise.

Thanks in advance!

So what happens instead? Look at the commandline, F2 to expand it if needed, see if there was an error message.

Dean, after PDF file selection, nothing happens...don't see anything in the command line. If I hit ENTER twice, the first page is inserted....as many times I hit ENTER.

Attached is the COMMAND Line screen shot.

It's asking for an insertion point: did you pick one? hitting <enter> is not the solution, it's a mouse pick on screen that is required first.

After FILE selection, nothing seems to happen on screen until hitting ENTER. That's when it inserts page 1. The dialog box for page selection does not show up.

You didn't answer my question: after page selection are you using your mouse to select an insertion point? That's what your screenshot shows you skipping.

Sorry, was not very clear. After file selection, all I see on screen is a pointer. There is nothing else I can do, other than hit ENTER. At that point it inserts the first page of the PDF document where ever the pointer is on the screen. The dialog box for page selection, scale, rotation, etc. is not showing up.

I have been using this command ever since they had the PDFATTACH command. Something happened in my AutoCAD and the dialog box is not showing up.

So your earlier screenshot is after you select the file, before the pop-up appears, but after you decided to frantically hit <enter> for some reason?

I suspect the dialogue pop-up is offscreen then: did you recently change from a dual monitor setup, or change your screen resolution? Here is how to move it back https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Dialog...

YES!!! That does it! I have 3 monitors. I turned off one of the monitors and the dialog box showed up on another monitor, until then it was not visible.

Thanks a lot for your guidance! Appreciate it very much.
