PDF Render + SHX Text + flattening

Good day.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my post. Perhaps someone will also have a similar problem as me.

Issue:
Displaying font information in a pdf file.

We use dwg files with defined font styles. The style selected is Classic SHX (here: AutoCAD SHX Text) Simplex.shx

The problem is font highlighting in the pdf file. Each time after generating, we need to use a pdf editing program to flatten the file. There is no option for dwg2pdf printer driver to flatten pdf renders.

Can you direct us where we can find a solution?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Best wishes.

I haven't used the dwg2pdf system in quite a while, but I remember that we used to have flattening issues with it as well.  It came down to a lot more than just .shx fonts, it was more about how Adobe has modified the .pdf format.  We switched to Bluebeam and haven't had problems since.

What is PDFSHX variable set to? Look up usage in HELP to understand what it does.
Also post a screenshot of your DWG2PDF settings pop-up, lets see what choices you made, that's usually where layering gets created.

And lastly, why are you not posting your actual PDFs (pre-flattening)?

Thank you.

I didn't know this variable. Everything's fine.

Best regards and thank you for taking the time to help overcome the obstacle.
