PDF Plotting - Create Bookmarks for just Layout and not Layout Views

I have a single DWG with multiple Layouts. Each Layout uses multiple different Layout Views from the model space. These views are named in both the Model Space and the Paper Space.

When I plot the Layouts to a PDF, I select "Create Bookmarks," as I would like each Layout to have a shortcut within the PDF. By selecting "Create Bookmarks," I get the Layout Shortcut (colored in black in the attached screenshot), however, it also adds bookmarks for every Layout View in the whole DWG even though only "Mini Map," "Legend," "PS01," and "PS01 - Detail" are in that specific Layout.

1. Is there a way to "Create Bookmarks" for only the upper level Layout and not the Layout Views as well?

2. If that is not possible, can I "Create Bookmarks" for only the upper level Layout and just the Layout Views pertaining to that specific Layout instead of every Layout View in the whole DWG?

Are you using plain AutoCAD? Or a vertical version?

1) No, it's an all or nothing option.
2) You will need to purchase Adobe Acrobat for that after-PDF_creation edit/fix.

Plain AutoCAD 2021.

That is the conclusion I had come to as well, so thank you for some confirmation!

Your answers are not correct.  This is easily attainable.  Just type the view command and click enter.  in the window that pops up, on the left hand side, there is a list of views. and where it says layout views, click on that.  now i would just delete any saved views and then when you publish, your bookmarks will only have the layout name and not any sub-bookmarks.  the layout views shown are what is causing the bookmarks to be published under each page in the pdf viewer.

so to answer the original questions:

you cannot have individual layout views under each specific layout bookmark.  but you CAN publish just the upper level layout name as the bookmark without including the layout views.

Unfortunately, the idea of deleting the views through the view command is not a great idea if you are using the Sheet Set Manager. This would not allow you to link to those views/details any longer.
