PDF not centered when printing

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello,

I have tried a few of the options in other posts but when I publish to pdf and then print the document is not centered.

I know just enough to create my document and save/print it but can't get the document centered. I usually use 1 of my layouts 95% of the time when I save the file.

The layout has a titleblock that I created

Any help is appreciated.

Is the document centered when you view it as a PDF? If so, then this sounds like a print setting and not a publishing issue...

PDF print is slightly shifted, if You print layout which You have set up for a physical printer. Layout must be set for PDF print.

It's been my experience that typically when this happens, there is an object somewhere that it is trying to print.
Mostly, it depends upon your plot settings though.  Are you plotting from Paperspace, or Model?  Extents, layout etc.  If you could upload the file, it would help tremendously.

To make it centered in the PDF simply choose "extents" for plot area and check "center the plot" under plot offset.  Only those 2 things.

Do you want it centered on the page?  or just Vertically with room for binding on the left?

The attached is centered on the page.

It doesn't matter what I want. It is a fact that layout setted for a physical printer then exported to pdf is shifted.
Topic starter asked about this.

I see layout is set for TOSHIBA printer. You must set the layout to a pdf printer.

I don't see that as an option.

Where exactly is that?

I go to file>publish>select the layout

Is it under page setup?

File

Page Setup Manager

Select layout

Modify

Or right click on the layout tab and select "page setup manager"

Before you publish.

Sorry - I use PLOT 98% of the time - then i see those options right o way.

If you set the page to a specific physical printer, then export to pdf, the drawing in the pdf file will be shifted. You must change the page print settings before exporting. For example, as tboehler suggests.

What do I need to change it to?

I changed it to AutoCAD pdf and I get the same error that the left side and bottom are off the page. ANSI full bleed is selected as the apper size.

Fit to page and center the plot are not available.
