So here's my question.. to add files to the drawing set do you have to add each one as an individual?? You can't just highlight 1 through 18 in a folder or in Project Wise? It doesn't save much time if I have to add each and every file one at a time. Is there a better way?

You can select multiple files if you right click within the empty list and select "Add Sheets" and either hold CTRL and click dwgs, or click the first one and SHIFT + Right Click the last one you'd like, and it will select the two you selected and everything else in between.

Then press "Select" and the layouts should be within the Publish list dialog.

I tried using the normal MS methods, hold control to pick additional, or pick one and hold shift down and picked the last one. It didn't work. I was forced to ad drawing, pick; add drawing, pick and so on and so on.

New to AutoCAD? Asking to help get you a clearer answer to your question.

Otherwise... Automation requires pre-planning in AutoCAD using SSM or re-saved PUBLISH or a script/lisp, what you want is not an option unless ProjectWise offers some sort of option like that, or you pick up an add-on like this https://www.coolutils.com/blog/4-tools-for-cad-printing-without-autocad/

Do you know if you are wanting to plot layouts or modelspace content? That's a big deal to know ahead of time too.

I think your screenshot represents an explorer folder / file location. I'm trying to add it directly from MicroStation, our company file management System. I suppose I could export from MicroStation to my explorer folders and then add from there to my MicroStation batch plot screen. Is that what I HAVE to do? Sorry I can getting to you  whole day later. Yesterday got busy so I had to move on to other projects. Thanks so much for your help.

Can you check your Window Explorer settings?

Explorer 1.PNG

Ensure "Double click" is selected.

Explorer 2.PNG

Also suggest select "Use check boxes".

Yes I did setup my Windows Explorer that way but I'm trying to setup this batch plot by adding a string of files directly from "ProjectWise."

If I have to export or download these files first to "Windows Explorer" it kind of defeats the purpose of batch plotting for me.  No way I can do what i want I guess, right?
