Palettes do not appear after starting AutoCAD

Hello everybody
I have both properties, external references and layer properties manager open in my workspace. These are docked left and right, on autohide and all my toolbars and palettes are locked (lockui 15).
I saved this view under my workspace (wssave).

If I close AutoCAD and open it again, my palettes have disappeared. However, the active workspace is my own workspace. This is what I see after entering wscurrent. If I enter the name of my own workspace again after this command, nothing changes.

The 3 palettes I want to see are not appearing.

Anyone have an idea what could be causing this?

Hi,

You may need to check if you have installed all CAD updates?

In the CUI click your Workspace, then on the upper-right click the [Customize Workspace] button, then click [+] in front of Palettes, then select each Palette like Layer Properties Manager, then modify each of their Properties in the bottom-right panel like:

Show: Yes

and so on.

A late reply, but after using ACAD 2022 for a while, I am using 2023 again and the problem is still active.

We've updated AutoCAD to the latest version, so it can't be that.

But if all my palettes are in the right place and locked, then I can also find this in the CUI window under my workspace.
That these are displayed, are locked and are also automatically hidden.
Looking at my palettes, these values are all filled in correctly.

If I click "OK" now, nothing happens. If I now click on "Apply", those palettes will disappear from my screen again, while the values will not change.
How is this possible?Knipsel.JPG

Hi Ennujozlagam,

I've tried what's on the site from the link you posted in your post. Unfortunately this doesn't work either.

And despite the fact that I never use the tool palette, I also found out through this page that this palette does not even appear. Not even if I modify the .aws as described on that page.

I am using AutoCAD 2023.1.3. I don't know if there is a newer version (>2023.1.4), except for AutoCAD 2024 of course. Because our company does not yet have a license for 2024, it is not possible to use the full version. I could only use the trial version of this.

Perhaps this last problem will be solved in the short term

Greetings @sander.van.pelt

Turn off LOCKUI variable.
Select a different WORKSPACE. are there TPs visible in there?
Now select your original WORKSPACE. Do the TPs reappear? If not, try the CUI method once again.

After that your options are:
1) reset 2023 back to defaults.
2) remove/reinstall 2023.

3) Reach our to Autodesk Support directly, with your IT person present, so they can access your PC and do their magic on it.

If your company is paying for a subscription to 2023, you all have access to 2024 (and 2022 and 2021 and 2020) for free: ask your account manager at your office to give you access. That's how Autodesk subscriptions work.

G'day Pendean,

Unfortunately, all the first options in your list did not work. Because of that, I uninstalled and reinstalled AutoCAD 2023. Also, after installing Autodesk Access, I installed all 4 updates.
Now I was able to install the "Single Sign On" via Autodesk Access, but not the 2023.1.2/ 2023.1.3 and the Autodesk Licensing update. These were not in the list.
I was able to install it manually.

But now I was already unable to log in via Autodesk Access. I can't do this with AutoCAD either.
If I select "Sign in" in the top corner, the options "Explore Purchase Options..." and "Manage License..." appear. (If I press this button several times, these options will be added again. You can see this in the image if I have clicked several times.).
And also via "Announcements" / "Autodesk Docs" and "My Insights" I can not log in.

Logging in via the website is of course no problem. An idea what could be causing this?

After adding my own workspace (CUIimport) the problems with the palettes were resolved. These are visible again and will remain so. The tool palette is now also visible.
At least reinstalling AutoCAD solved my workspace/palette problem.

Now I only have to deal with that login problem.

Glad you fixed the initial problem: sorry about the newer login issue, your screenshot looks very weird indeed.

Dumb question: have you restarted your PC, ensured your login works in the ACCESS app that you installed, and then started AutoCAD to see if that problem in your screenshot goes away? worth  shot if not.

I believe ACCESS is going to want you to do some login / license update too

Good morning Pendean,
After restarting my PC several times and also after uninstalling and reinstalling Autodesk Access, the login function does not work. This is not possible via Access or via AutoCAD.
If I select an option other than Sign In (products and services/ Account/ or product privacy) in Access, I will immediately be forwarded to the correct Autodesk website.
But logging in is also not possible after a reinstallation

Wow! that is a very bad place to be for sure.

Here is how to open a support case with Autodesk if you are on subscription to seek out Autodesk Support's help:

G'day Pendean,
I just created a case at the Dutch Autodesk Support site. As soon as I have received a response and the problem has been solved I will report this to you.

Hello @pendean,
I received a message from Autodesk Customer Support stating that they also found it very strange that I could not log in and that they had not seen this before.
This email stated that I had to install the latest version of AdSSO. I downloaded it from this link. .
After install and restarting my PC I was able to log into AutoCAD again. However, logging in via Autodesk Access is not yet possible. But I have given feedback to Autodesk Customer Support about this.
