Palatte issue

I'm trying to insert a a plan into paperspace from my palette. the inserting plan contains a grouping of blocks. when i try to insert using my palatte (already saved in palatte). it insert a grouping of distorted blocks on top of each other. i tried to group the blocks as one one block, still same effect. Could this be because of difference of versions. The plan I'm trying to update was created 2010. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Would you review the Explode setting in your palette for the plan block. Make sure that it's not selected.

Any time things end up in different locations than expected, the first suspect is that running Object Snap is on.  Does it work right if you turn off running Osnap?

What does insert a plan into paperspace mean?

Do you mean you're trying to create a new layout tab which has objects already on it such as titleblock and various blocks? Please explain. Uploading screenshots would be helpful.

Purge Old Block Definitions
Before inserting the updated blocks from the Tool Palette, remove any existing block definitions with the same name from the target drawing.

• Run the PURGE command.
• Select Blocks.
• Click Purge All.

Clean the Source Drawing Using WBLOCK

• Open the source drawing containing the furniture plan.
• Run the WBLOCK command.
• Select Entire Drawing.
