Normally the Shift key is used in AutoCAD to quickly exit orthogonal mode, that is, holding down Shift should turn orthogonal mode on, when I release the button, it turns off. All the hotkeys are set up correctly, ortho mode works on the F8 button, but for some reason this feature doesn't work on the Shift button on my Lenovo laptop, although it worked fine on my previous Asus laptop. Currently using AutoCAD 2021, but have tried 2018 as well, also tried to change setting of sysvar TEMPOVERRIDES, but all to no avail.
Does your Lenovo keyboard have a key that turns off factory presets (like F-keys toggling audio volume and other media features)? Might be worth tapping that to see if it helps.
