opening a file

when I try to open a file a little box opens that says "enter name of drawing to open and I have to type something in.  How do I change that so the normal windows box opens and I can look for files that way?

Hi,

 

you may need to change FILEDIA value to 1 . 

 

Command: FILEDIA
Enter new value for FILEDIA <1>:

How do a change my FILEDIA ? I typed that into the command line that opens when I click “open file” and
It just says cannot find specified trying. Please help!

At the commandline, with no other command running and no pop-ups on screen, you type FILEDIA then tap the <enter> key on your keyboard, then type 1 (that's a number one) the tap the <enter> key on your keyboard one more time.

NO not like this ... as shown at my post #2 ... in command line ans when there is no commands active . just type FILEDIA then enter to change the value .
