Open Command will not respond

After restarting my computer and reopening AutoCAD 2011 the "open" command will not respond. All I can do at that point is close it and reopen it. If I go to a file through windows explorer and open it from there everything works fine. I tried using the icon and typing the command as well. I'm running Windows 7.

Uninstall dropbox. Worked for me.

Open dialog is probably off-screen. ALT-SPACE, M, arrow-key will move it to the cursor location. Then you can drop it where you want.
