one or more objects in the drawing cannot be saved

Since a few days I'am not able to save my drawings on my pc. When I enter QSAVE, the following message shows up: ''one or more objects cannot be saved to the specified format. The operation was not completed and no file was created.'' I tried a lot of things such as audit. But even this didn't help at all. The weirdest thing by far is the fact, that this problem not only comes with new drawings, but also with all my old drawings…. And by accident I discovered I can save my drawings on my USB-Stick, with no problems.

Can anyone explain me how to solve this problem?

Thank you

Thank you, Faris. I went down the list and the only thing that helps was to reset my Autocad. But still after a few hours. The exact same problem shows up again.

I have literally no idea what could cause this problem…

Try changing your file save format to 2018 version

use command _ABOUT and see what product version of Autocad is that you are using.

is there any XREF in the drawing? while opening did you get any proxy warnings?

Is this a file specific issue or Autocad in general?

Use EXPORTTOAUTOCAD and create a clean copy of the file

I strongly believe this has something to do with some change or a new software installed recently on your PC. CAn you try to recall what change was made in the PC before this error got triggered?

well it al started two weeks ago, my pc fell out and I couldn't start it. After hitting the 'on' button for 30 seconds he went back on. And that's the first moment I have a memory of that problem.

If you had already tried all the solutions from this : Error: "One or more objects in this drawing cannot be saved to the specified format" when saving in ... I am so sorry I don't think there is anymore trouble shooting from my side that can help(I am clueless about how to get it right or what might be wrong).

One last try Smiley Tongue :Creating a different user on windows and see if it happens in that account too.

have you tried looking at what path the file is saved in. For example I had a similar problem and it had to do with the computer not finding the share drive the original file was saved in (this is how we realized are share drive was messed up). so the program might be trying to save to a path that does not exist or it cant see. if you can save as to the desktop or a jump drive that would test this theory.

can you still access the original folder that the file was saved in? as in the one it wont save back to.

Try saving to the c/drive or usb on your machine than try to move that foler (through windows not autocad) and see if it goes.

Also if you can access that file delete any .dwl files that are in there

I only see a pretty picture posted in the forum, we need your actual DWG file please.

If you are trying to share a DWG file through replying by email, that does not work (Spam controls): you need to come to the website, reply, and attach files.

TIA
