In Autocad 2020 (Win 10 Pro) I lost the onscreen prompts for input when drawing things like an arc or offset lines. Makes the functions unusable. Worked yesterday. What can I do to get them back?

Maybe you need to turn on dynamic input. The F12 key will turn it on and off
I checked your suggestion and it worked. Thank you. I must have inadvertently hit the key last night.
Before you responded I was desperate to keep going, so I found a function to reset program to all factory defaults. That also worked.
