Odd Text Issues in AutoCAD 18

Odd Text Issues in AutoCAD 18

I have been having issues with the text in my drawing doing some really weird stuff.  I was originally equating the issue to everything in my drawing and finally noticed, it's only happening with text and sometimes QL arrows.  Below is a list of what I'm experience.

1. When i hover over text to move or copy it, it jumps (kind of how annotative text will change it's size, but I'm not using annotative text)

2. As i move or copy text, it leaves what i like to call snail trails all over my screen.  They clear up when I move my mouse after ending the command.

3. The grips on the end of quick leader lines disappear so can't adjust where i want the leader to stretch to.

4. When i click on mtext to adjust the size of of the box, the arrows are not there to make the adjustment.

If i shut AutoCAD down, it will fix the problem for anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours and then starts back up.  I am shutting my program down on an average of 5-6 times now during an 8 hour work day.  Restarting my machine doesn't make any difference either.  Our IT downloaded an update to my video card yesterday but it hasn't helped.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Linda

1. You have SNAP turned on? explained in HELP, toggled on/off with F9 button on your keyboard (it is only active while in a command as you know). Or #2 is your issue.
2. Your video card/driver is choking: open GRAPHICSCONFIG command then turn off hardware acceleration, se if that stops the ghosting.
3. Grips turned off? It is no longer a leader? That layer is locked?

What add-on did you introduce recently? Or is this a new installation of R2018?

The hardware acceleration seems to be it!  It was turned on.

So far it seems to be helping all the issues.  Thank goodness.  If it changes, I will respond.

Thank you!
