Objects move when opened in another pc

Anonymous
Not applicable

When I send my drawings to another person whenever they open it some of the objects moves to the left resulting in it looking disconnected. Same happens when that person sends me a drawing some mleaders shifts to the right.
Has anyone encountered this and know how this happens and the fix?

Hi,

can you please ...

  • start command _ABOUT on both systems and show us the screenshots from them
  • create a new dwg-file with one object, save that file as A.dwg ... open the file on the other workstation and (assuming a movement appeared) save that file as B.dwg, and upload both files here.

If it is just text, it may be a font issue.

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

You are describing text: that usually means you are using a font they do not have, time to get in the habit of sending files to others with ETRANSMIT command and ensure it is set up to capture all content, fonts included.

You and the recipient in the meantime need to share font files together, or you need to only use what they have in your files.
