NOT ABLE TO EDIT FIELDS - AutoCAD 2016

When i click edit field, nothing pops up, but i am unable to click anything else until i hit escape as if a dialog box is open and just not visible. I have checked through all my settings and cant find what happened to make this box invisible. I have restarted both AutoCAD and my computer and it still does not work. I used to edit fields every day so I'm not sure why i am no longer able to do so. These are fields relating to a sheet set if that is relevant.

I had a similar problem after I cleaned the registry with ultility software, like Ccleaner but I not sure. I had to reinstall Acad. Yes.. the dreaded reinstall.

if the dialog is off screnn you can hit ALT+SPACE

then hit M

then you should be able to move the dialog box using your directional keys on your keyboard. press left (or right if left doesnt work) until you see the dialog box.

Sounds like the dialog is appearing off the screen. An easy fix, when you know the dialog should be visible, click ALT+Spacebar. Then "M", then use any keyboard arrow key to start moving the dialog (you still won't be able to see it at this point). THEN grab the mouse and move it around until you see it.
