I am running AutoCAD 2020 and have created a couple of new layers (as per normal) however they are not showing up on the drawing when xrefed. They are listed in the Layer Manager and are not frozen or off. They are listed in the Layerstate. I have turned visretain off and reloaded. I have restarted AutoCAD, none of which has worked. If I rename an existing layer to the new layer name it miraculously appears. What am I missing? How can I fix this and have the newly created layers appear?
