When i click on the plus sign at the top of the screen to open a new blank drawing it loads a huge drawing instead of my default template. It names it Drawing 1. If I click on the plus sign again it loads the same drawing and names it Drawing 2. I don't know what I did to cause that nor how to correct it. Help.

The first thing I did was create a new template. When starting AutoCAD the new template is used and everything is working as it should. It is only when I click on the plus sign at the top of the screen that this problem occurs. AutoCAD is not using the template when creating a new tab.
Problem solved. I right clicked on the plus sign. The options "New" and "Open" appeared. I clicked on New and then chose acad.dwt as the template. Now when I click on the plus sign the new drawing that opens is using the acad.dwt file.
