Network toolpalettes

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to set up a group of networked palettes for my department. All file locations have been changed to reference the network locations, but multiple versions of each palette are being created. For example I have a Misc Blocks_7 but the latest version is _5. 

Can anyone explain why this is happening and a solution to stop this. I am currently the only user that has access to them at the moment.

I can set up the sharing for the toolpalettes, my issue is that i have multiple (2 to 3 copies of each) versions of the same palettes being imported from the network. The tool catalogs have been created within a minute of eachother and there's now a total of 6 of the AcTpCatalog files.

Do you know why the are so may of these being created and how I can stop this from continuing?

Not sure why there are multiple versions of the same palettes.

However, try the following:

1. Create a specific folder in the Network for the Toolpalettes (something like: N:/Standard/Autodesk/Toolpalettes)

    [This folder should contain various files including: *.atc, *.xtp, *.xpg)  

    Note:  Also, verify the *.xtp files have the correct <SourceFile> path [Open with Notepad].

2. Then make sure to add that path in the OPTIONS > Files (Tab) > Tool Palettes File Locations

This is how I've set the palettes up from the start.

What would you reccomend for trying to fix the issue? It creates quite a lag when first opening autocad in the morning as it loads all the tool palettes.
