How do I export files from AutoCAD to Revit. I'm wanting to make an stp. file able to be opened into Revit. Thanks for your help.

Type EXPORT at the command line. Select .stp file type in the dialog box.

Good day

Please I have a problem when installing AutoCad 2015.

When the software is installing, I see a pop-up notifying me something about communication failure.

Please could you help me?

Thank you

That error is common when using the online installer (InstallNow).  Try a traditional download instead, and then double click the file to launch the installer after it's finished downloading.  LINK

I'm not sure how to make an .stp file, but you could WBLOCK only what you want out of ACAD since Revit doesn't really like much of anything other than Revit. Then in Revit go to the Inert tab and select Insert CAD. I just did it and it worked fine for the geometry, but the dimensions and text look terrible. I would WBLOCK just the geometry if that works for you.

My apologies -

I could have sworn I saw .stp as a file option for exporting. I've been exporting lately to stl, sat, and igs and thought I had seen stp in there as well.
