my plotting scale isnt working right

Hello, Im having some difficulties with plot scaling. My model space is set at 1:1, that being said my plotting scale lfor layout one is set to 1:1, and im working with mm. I have scaled my viewport to 1:50 through the scale options giver in the bottom right hand corner. However, it is too small. I have made sure multiple times that my units are correct, and they are all set to mm. I have tried everything i could. My professor even asked me if i scaled it, and i mentioned to him that i did. However, he said there is something wrong. And i dont know what it is.

Settings of Layout and Viewport in "Layout1" are correct for 1:50, nothing wrong.

Yes thats true, but based on what the other students have its too small. And my professor mentioned that its not right. So im not sure what to do.

Settings are right, for a plot 1:1, your drawing is 1:50 then, that's what we can say.

Your Drawing/Modelspace: The only dimensioning WE have is 1.1 and 5.1,

your draw these lines in a distance of 3986.58739163, rounded ~4000.0

(but note, if you create a drawing in CAD, it's allowed to draw exactly)

I guess the teacher do not pointet to this deviation? Nothing to do with settings.

Perhaps you failed the task?

But we don't know the Task, we knowing just what you wrote (1:50) and

your "Layout1" (please rename it and use only useful names for used layouts)

is set up to A3 ( 420x297mm),

   Perfect, IF THE TASK WAS

  "use the smallest papersize what is possible for this drawing"

and the viewport is scaled by factor 0.02, what is right for 1:50

4000mm in model, scaled by 0.02 thru viewport = 80mm

4000mm in 1:50 = 80mm, 80mm*50=4000mm

  Perfect, IF THE TASK WAS

  "Set up your Layout to print model in 1:50"

Thank you so much for diving deeper into my question. I have actually now adjusted the measurements of my actual model, to a width of the total model of 10494 (width) x 8090 (height) in mm. However, it is still very very small in paper space.

We can not help without the task and templates (if some template were part of the task description)

Your model is in mm, we can not say if it is correct or not without the task description.

In the terrible named Layout, Layout1, the viewport is well set to plot in 1:50, we can not say if it is the goal without the task description.

Your pagesetup is set to plot to A3, looks good for this model in 1:50

the mistake must be that you misunderstood the task.
In order to assess this, we need the task and templates, if there were any for the task.

You still haven't provided the information.

"too small" means nothing to me either looking at your file and printing it to your defined A3 sheet size: you will need to ask your professor about exactly what your homework assignment is missing or did not get correct, you did not get enough information and that is evident to me at least in your top post and many replies since.

Are you sure A3 is the correct paper size?  A4 works well at 1:50 scale.
