 Hi @Anonymous

You could try the following to see if this helps make a difference. For additional information on the suggestions made below you can also reference this AKN article

Revert the text size setting in Windows:

  1. Click the Windows Start menu and type display (or display settings) in the search field.
  2. Select "Smaller - 100%" and click Apply.
  3. Log out and log in to Windows or reboot the computer.

Revert advanced display settings in Windows:

  1. For Windows 7, click the Windows Start menu and type change window glass colors (or right-click the desktop, choose Personalize, and then click Window Colors), then click on Advanced appearance settings. For Windows 8, 8.1, and 10, click the Windows Start menu and type display in the search field and pick "Display (control panel)." Alternatively, from Display Settings, click Advanced Display Settings and then Advanced Sizing of Text and Other Items.
  2. Click on each menu item and make sure the font size is 9 with no bold selected. Note: Windows 7 has more choices and not all have a font size. Tip: You can use the down arrow on the keyboard to move through the menu instead of clicking each time.

Disable DPI scaling for AutoCAD:

  1. Right-click the AutoCAD shortcut or the acad.exe program file and choose Properties.
  2. On the Compatibility tab, select "Disable display scaling on high DPI."
  3. Click OK.

Lower the display resolution (Windows)

  1. Right-click the desktop and choose Screen Resolution.
  2. Select a resolution closer to 2000 dpi (2560x1440 tends to be an acceptable resolution).

Thank you for your response, but this also did not work, when I changed it to 100% (250% is what my laptop settings default is ) everything became too small including autocad.

Do you have a 4K screen? If so, make sure you have all updates and set it to 150% max. At least that's  what I remember seeing. I'm pretty sure 2016 wasn't fully compatible with 4K screens but 2017 is.

I could be wrong, as I'm working from memory, but it is worth looking into if you do have 4K.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

AutoCAD only works on displays set to no higher than generic HD (1920X1080): I suspect your settings are much higher. Knock it down in Windows now.

The instructions for disabling the DPI scaling worked like a charm.  It was the only thing I had to do.  Thank You!

Disable DPI scaling for AutoCAD:

  1. Right-click the AutoCAD shortcut or the acad.exe program file and choose Properties.
  2. On the Compatibility tab, select "Disable display scaling on high DPI."
  3. Click OK.

You CAD!
