MVIEW is too slow ......

If you use MVIEW a lot in CAD, it slows down a lot.

Is it a limitation of CAD functionality?

Is there a solution?

Maximum to activate is 64

Is there a solution?

Turn off some of the viewports.

Less than 64,
I can't turn it off because I have to submit CAD DATA.

If you use Layer Properties Palette, then turn it off.

Thank you for the image.
Unfortunately, this window is off.
Is there any other solution?

More like a limitation of your computers processor or graphics card. Also helps if you freeze layers instead of turning off layers. But if you need all layers to be on and as you create more paper space vports and working on the drawing in paper space slows to a crawl then perhaps it’s time to upgrade to a more powerful computer.

I've always worked with VPORTS and never had any issues with them. Now I'm trying to work on drawings which include polygonal MVIEWs and the graphics just fade away until I force a regen. If I change the view with a pan or zoom, they go right back to fading out. They're aren't even visible except for some specks against a black background. If I change it to a VPORT then it's fine.

Graphics Card issue? I'm assuming it has something to do with processing the polygonal viewport. I'm running just one viewport with a Core i7 vPro processor in a laptop. Should have plenty of power. Others in my group run same basic equipment but don't seem to have this issue. It's actually an unworkable situation if I maintain the viewports as MVIEWs.

Any insights? Thx.

If you’re running AutoCAD 2022 and up try setting GfxDx12 to 0 and restart AutoCAD

If that doesn’t help, type GraphicsConfig and under 2d Display settings select another option

if that still fails then enter same command again and this time disable hardware acceleration
