Multiline with elements on different layers

We have a situation where we have to create MultiLine type in which each of the element needs to be part of different layer. If this option is possible. if yes please explain how this can be achieved. If no could you please suggest a way forward to achieve this requirement.

As far as  I know that's not possible. But if you tell us what you need this for - perhaps we find another way to achieve what you need(?).

The parts can have some of the effects of being on different Layers -- color and linetype assignments -- but no, they can't actually be on different Layers.  [What would the Properties palette or entity data show for the Layer of such a thing?]  For that, you would need to do something like draw a Polyline and Offset it to different Layers.
