Multi Stretch Power Toys....?

Hi,

I bought a script for Autocad years ago, from Acadiana Graphics
It enabled the stretching of multiple solids at the same time by selecting with a crossing window.

Unfortunately over the years and multiple different computers and Autocad versions later, I seem to have lost the script and the licence file.

Does anyone know if the maker behind this script is still around?
I've tried emailing Acadiana Graphics several times, and there is no reply.

Or alternatively, is there anything similar in AutoCad later versions that I might be missing?
It has to be for solids, not just MSTRETCH. Or has anyone scripted anything similar?

It was so very handy, and as far as I know nothing like this was ever implimented into AutoCad. I found the functionality to be amzingly useful, and it pains me to lose it.

Hi,

I don't know about this tool(s?), tell more about it.

Solids, or 3Dsolids?

Multiple Solids are stretchable by normal stretch command and by mstretch.

MStretch? What an old version are you using?

Or do you mean another kein of object? Multiple 3Dsolids are stretchable by grips only or Presspull,

but not by cross selection.

Explain more what you need.

Hi,

"It enabled the stretching of multiple (3D)solids at the same time by selecting with a crossing window"....

Pretty much as I've explained here.

darawork_0-1707398363462.png

It did not use grips, rather it was just like regular stretch or mstretch:
Start command with MSPT in the command line.
Click and drag a crossing window over a set of 3D Solids, release.
Click again to choose a starting point, drag, and click again.
3D Solids have now stretched.
Could only be used in orthographic projection, not in perspective or isometric.

That's about it.

Any idea of something like that exists in another LISP/VLX script, or existing command I may have missed?

STRETCH or MSTRETCH do not do the same thing as MSPT used to do, see video:
Those command do not allow the stretching of multiple 3D Solids.

Hi,

Yes, there are very basic Lisptools to use presspull in a loop, I_ will search for you.

Ah okay, NOW, the topic changed to 'Stretch multiple 3dsolids', not solids.

Wait a moment.

Just one of multiple hits if you search in www for it.

https://apps.autodesk.com/ACD/de/Detail/Index?id=2870815716664129343&appLang=en&os=Win32_64

But behind the scenes, it is nothing else an MOVE sub-objects workflow.

like this one

; MOVE 3D sub-elements
(defun c:DARA3DWORK (/ p1 p2)
(setvar "OSMODE" (logior (getvar "OSMODE") 16384))
(command "_.MOVE" "_w" (setq p1 (getpoint "\nSpecify first corner point: "))
			 (setq p2 (getcorner p1 "\nSpecify second corner point: "))
			 "_add" (setvar "subobjselectionmode" 3) "_sub" "_w" p1 p2)
(setvar "OSMODE" (logand (getvar "OSMODE") 16383))
  (setvar "subobjselectionmode" 0)
 (princ)
)

not bulletproof, and maybe not your favorite, but it serves as an example very well.
It should motivate you to continue looking for the perfect solution for you. You can find a few more solutions.

Thanks Sebastian,

I used the LSP code, works as expected.
I did not buy the APP, was $18. Maybe I will buy it when I get a bit more spare cash.

Thanks,

"Maybe I will buy it when I get a bit more savings cash"

Why should you, it does nothing other than MOVE, object-selection, subobject selection.
You can type it in commandline, but these Tools saving some keystrokes, nothing more.

(I know the origin of the linked tool) 👋

Ha,

I was just trying to be friendly. It's nice to support independent software developers.
But, yes, no need now.

Thanks again,
