Mtxt Boxes squeezing text together when copying from one drawing to another

Hello. I am having an odd issue I cannot figure out how to solve. When trying to copy text from one drawing to another the Mtxt takes whatever is in the text box and makes it into 2 lines. The text is not set to annotative and I checked all the text sizes and settings and they match between drawings. I cannot figure out what setting is doing this if anyone has seen it. Picture 1 is what the text should look like

and these pictures show what is happening when I copy it

Is the text style in both drawings the same ? Does one have a fixed text height and the other not? Same font?

I can replicate the error by having the same style in two drawings, each with different settings. (The mtext width property is the same in both)

yeah they had the same text style. IT was the "standard" one that you cannot delete. I checked the settings and it appears they are the same in both drawings. I am not sure exactly why the font is changing we I copied it. I fixed it by just making a new text style and bringing that in.

@nfoxJ3N5A you will need to share portions of both DWG files so we can investigate please.

@nfoxJ3N5A ,

This will happen if the Font applied to the Standard Style is different in another drawing - as @rkmcswain mentioned.  You just have to pay attention to the details and modify as necessary.

Look at the text from Drawing1 (Using Standard Text Style = Simplex = 0.5 Width) when copied into Drawing2 (with Standard Text Style = Arial = 1.0 Width).
