MTEXT

When I try to enter (E) Masonry F.Pl.as an example, the text automatically thinks I am wanting Letter dileneators and adds space where I don't want it then when I hit return it auto adds another letter in parantheses, (F) as an example-(see image).

How can I disable this feature. The old MText worked just fine. I am annoyed by how this keeps happening.

If you type (E)+space+backspace it removes the extra space and only puts in one space and it also won't start with (F) on the next line after a return. I know you can click the lightning bolt and shut limiters off for that window, but that workflow is what I do to get around the issue. I just do it as habit now when using (E). I'll see if I can figure out how to shut it totally off.

Turn off all that formatting that you have on inside your mtext editor (while in an mtext object): right-click, select bullets/lists, you want the top OFF option with no checkmarks next to anything labelled "allow".

Much like your old mtext was likely set too.

These are all end user settings.

When you start the MTEXT command, in the text editor box click on the down arrow next to numbering. You can disable bullet and lists there.

edit, once again Dean beat me to the punch.

I was grabbing this capture to explain. It's just what Dean said, but since I already made it. Here it is.

I also found this which seems to shut it off as well.   "MTEXTDETECTSPACE" VARIABLE
