Moving Multiple Attributes in Multiple Blocks

I need to move the labels for many blocks at the same time while they are stacked.

There was a feature in 2014 that I used often but I cannot make it work in 2016.

To explain the situation, I have 20 blocks representing a linear light fixture. I need the label on each of them for information in data exports to excel, but I only need one label to appear on the drawing.  In 2014, I was able to stack the labels from the 20 fixtures in the same position (AutoCAD neatly snaps them together). From here I could select all the blocks from this "single" label and make edits to all of them. This is still works in 2016 of course, but I was able in 2014 to use the move grip over this label to move of them at once.

Currently, I can stack them, but once I select them all and try to move, it pulls the top label away from the group.

Is there a setting that I need to turn on for this to work?

What you are describing as the new behavior is how I would want and expect it to work. Maybe it was a bug that happened to give you the desired result but was not the way it "should" work.

After copying fixtures from an old file, I realized it wasn't a problem with 2016.  And then after I deleted all but one of the blocks and made a duplicate array, I was able to achieve the desired function.

So this isn't solved, but it seems like it could have simply been a bug.

I've attached the file that has two rows of blocks - the one that works and the one that doesn't. I can't see any difference in properties between them.
Be sure to select all in the row before moving the label.

Select your first row: start PROPERTIES. Note POSITION Z says varies.

Do the same for the second row: POSITION Z has the same consistent setting for the entire row.

You forgot about the Z direction in the XYZ location any object can be in AutoCAD/LT.
