Movebak command not working

A user's bak files are being saved to the C\Temp folder.  We tried the movebak command and entered a "." to reset it to the default, which is to save the bak files to the same directory as the dwg file, however the setting is not saving.  When we look at movebak again, it still says C\Temp.  What could be keeping this setting from changing?

If you run the MOVEBAK command again, does it say it's set to C:\Temp  ?

Then something is setting it, perhaps something in the startup code (Acad.lsp maybe?)

@Valentin-WSP - none of that has anything to do with MOVEBAK.

MOVEBAK is an old "Bonus Tool", later turned into an "Express Tool"  It simply intercepts the BAK file after the DWG is renamed to BAK and moves it to the location set in this command.

MOVEBAK stopped working suddenly for me too. In my case I had recently deleted the folder MOVEBAK was mapped to. Recreating that folder and it's working again.

Apparently MOVEBAK can't create a folder if it doesn't exist, instead it just fails to move the bak file.
