Mosaic Hatch Pattern Help

I have been searching all over the internet for a mosaic tile hatch pattern for Revit. Below is a photo of the i will be using, they come in 12x12 sheets with a variety of different tile sizes. Any help would be great appreciated.

there are so many download sites available >>>click<<< have you looked into them (at least to find one that is close to your pattern as a start to edit it)?

You could make your own pattern. It's a matter of telling the program where each line segment starts and ends, in which direction it goes, and where to shift the start point to in order to repeat the line. This is done  for each potentially different line segment in a pattern.

Try this attached 12x12 patch containing 18 tile strips, skewed to a parallelogram to disguise the boxy patchiness evident when forced to arrange the template within a rectangle.

In the 12" height of those sheets there's actually a 3-fold repetition of only a 4" high pattern [ignoring the differences in material from the distribution of glass vs. stone pieces].  Attached is a therefore shorter version based on that, traced over the image with all positions rounded to the nearest 1/6".  [Since we just now have a client wanting us to use that very kind of thing, I thought it worth developing it rather than using the similar but less-random pattern I first used.]

CORRECTION:  I've replaced the attachment.  I had the repetition in the horizontal direction at 12", but in reality, though the sheets come 12", they interlock/overlap, and the actual repetition distance is 10 1/3".

Hugh,

 

I like your solution, Could you provide this in a vertical orientation? I've tried playing with the '90 and '0' for the degrees but with no joy. I can't seem to rotate it in Revit, maybe because it's on a curved wall?

I just took mine, reversed the X-origin & Y-origin numbers in all lines, changed the lineset-direction 0 to 90 and the 90's to 0's, and it does this:

Remember that the file name has to exactly match the pattern name defined in it [with the .pat filetype ending added], and the file must end with an empty line, not the last line of code content.

Neat. That does it nicely by reflecting the pattern about an axis pitched at 45 degrees through the origin, equivalent to rotating its mirror-image by 90 degrees.
