Modify DGN Mapping Setup Dialog Box

How do I get to Modify DGN Mapping Setup Dialog Box screen!!!!!! I have typed in DNGMAPPING nothing happens, I either have to hit enter or Esc to continue anything. I have tried importing a DGN and hitting Mapping Setups and nothing happens until I either have to hit enter or Esc to continue anything.

Hi @Anonymous,

What does your command line say when you enter the command? If you need to see more than one line, you can expand the command line window up a little bit by hovering on the top edge. If it looks like it's launching the command successfully, but you're just not seeing the window, it could be stuck off-screen. This often happens if you switch between dual and single monitor setups. 

Enter the DNGMAPPING command, then press ALT+SPACEBAR, then M, then use the arrow keys to try and scoot the DNGMAPPING window back to a visible area of the screen.

OK, this is how to get Mapping Setup Dialog Box screen!!!!!!! Haha.

1-Import the dgn file.2-Click Mapping Settings.3-Click New.4-Give it a NAME, Based on=>Continue5-The dgn Modify Settings Box!!!

When I click on mapping setting I don't have the new button or even another screen (if t brings up another screen). Still, have nothing is happening. I also have tried Alt+spacebar and then m again it doesn't drag anything.

I sure you make a mistake. Please test this little trick with annother window.

For Example: Notepad, calculater, WindowsExplorer (but do not maxisize the windows) or inside AutoCAD: Start command DDPTYPE

Noq you see the Dialog or Program window, try it again:

[ALT]+[SPACE]

[M]

[press one time one of the four arrow-keys (NOT 2,4,6,8 from Numpad!]

NOW the current window/dialog hangs on the mouse/cursor and you can move them.

Is it working?

Try it again after command: DGNMAPPING<enter>

Thank you. I didn't hold the up arrow long enough. I held the up arrow at least 8 seconds until it came into the screen. thank you, guys.

That's why you should test it again for a visible dialog, for understanding what you do with each step.

And I press the Arrow button only 1x fast! then I'm moving the mouse!
Because I can not know at all in which direction I have to move the dialogue - with the mouse this is not a problem.

Try it again (now), this time you only press the Arrow key once, then move the mouse.

Thank you, hitting the arrow button once then using the mouse is better. Also one other thing, how do I get my layers (AutoCAD) and the all layers from the DGN file so I can mapping to mine?  It's just some genetic layers that are not mine and it's not all the layers from the DGN file.
