Model Views, Layout Views

The office that I work at we use sheet set manager and make our views in models space and insert them in paper space, is there a way to link the paper space view with the model space view.  What happens sometimes after the view is created in model space it will be moved to a different area in the model space, after adjust the boundary to the new area, it does not update in the view in paper space, is there a way so that it would automatically update in paper space without having to either adjust the viewport or reinsert the view?

Hi @dsalvagni,

I can imagine the trouble that would cause. There is not a way for viewports to automatically track contents within the program, they do have to be adjusted manually.

It may be possible to do something like this with scripts, such as LISP. The members of the AutoCAD Customization forums community would be a great resource.

All the best,

If the boundary of the modelspace view and the boundary of the associated paperspace view are equal by the difference of the scale factor, the attached routine has served me well for the last 14 or so years.
