model to Layout

hy everyone,

my problem:

i creat in model space 70-80 drawings , format A4 . Detail drawings.

i want to plot all the 80 drawings at the same time , and not select in model one by one with window. how can i resolv?

my usual solution: creat a sheet set, and put one by one one (new sheet, new layout) ,import layout as sheet, right click and PUBLISH (pdf or plotter).... ..its working.

a faster solution ??? with a simple selection put all , on separate layouts.???

I can't think of a faster solution then what you have suggested yourself.

It it were me I would created layouts right from the start with page set up etc.

Doing all this after you have commited yourself so much to having everything in model space is laborious.

Since you've put them in an array, there's probably a script that can be written and incorporated to create paperspaces with viewports looking at successive layouts. That part is beyond me. But regardless of whether I could figure that part out, I'd make a paperspace for each sheet (with a viewport looking at what you want shown) and then "import layouts as sheets" into sheet set manager.

Perhaps you've already thought of this. I've mainly replied only to say two things: One is that you can use the command CHSPACE to send objects you see through a viewport into paperspace (and vice versa). This may come in handy for what you're doing. The other thing is that best practices, (at least for Civil 3D, but I'd imagine for regular CAD, too), says that you should only have ten paperspaces max in any drawing. You should probably xref your original drawing and make separate drawings for all paperspaces, (max ten each), to print the xref in modelspace. This will make switching between model/paper spaces much faster. You should really look into doing this or whatever you decide to do will probably take a frustratingly long time, assuming you've got more than basic linework to plot.

i would not be able to limit myself to 10 layout per file, especially with equipment design.

I took a quick look and couldn't find a thing about vanilla CAD only wanting ten layouts. My apologies. Please disregard that. In C3D, if you have ten layouts you're probably watching that blue thing spin more than you're working.

the Chspace command in model space not allowed, why? i use autocad mep 2014.

model to layout, which command  should i use?

CHSPACE command only works in paperspace (aka Layout): you need to be in a layout first.

my problem : i got  over 150 dwg automatization plan, export from E-plan. .

all the 150 dwg is separate dwg file. :((

to put in layout i know the metode.( open each file ,copy paste in one dwg, creat new layout, wp, page setup....etc etc.)

a quicker solution ?  routine ?
