Model space view is distorted

I am working on a drawing that distorts the view when I zoom in

Try turning hardware acceleration off, see if it helps. (>instructions<)

Also, try updating video card drivers.

Daniel,

I turned off hardware acceleration and looked for video driver updates. Neither one worked.

In that case, I have several questions:

does this issue occur in all files, or just this one?

If just this one, did this file ever work correctly?

If all files, did the issue just start recently?

Have you installed all available updates for AutoCAD?

System Info? (Windows version, cpu/gpu, RAM)

Are you by chance using 4K resolution? If yes, try going down to 1080.

Are you using greater than 100% display scale? If yes, try going down to 100%

Can you post your file? If it works correctly for others, that will (likely) narrow it down to something specific to your system.

Get out of perspective view and see if that gets you back to where you need to be https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2020/ENU/AutoC...

Hi @Anonymous

I assume you are having a problem with the perspective view. Type in the command "PERSPECTIVE" and set it to "0"🙂

Not sure if you have tried @vinodkl 's and @pendean 's suggestions yet, I did & here is a screen-shot.

Sorry I didn't think of this, but I am almost exclusively 2D...

I have the same problem but I'd like to actually use perspective instead of just turning it off.  Can you actually fix it?

@DavidLoria it can't be "the same problem" if you need it on: so... can you elaborate more on your need and share some screenshots perhaps?

It happens often in different files even on different machines.  I have two views side by side, 1 plan/2d/wireframe and 1 3D/wireframe/perspective.  eventually at some point Ill move the 3d vciew and everything will become distorted/skewed/stretched.  I try switching back and forth between parallel and perspective but that doesn't help.

I will try to remember to grab a screen shot next time it happens.
