Microstation and AutoCAD 2019 Compatability

I am attempting to open an AutoCAD 2019 file in Microstation v8.

I have saved down to 2013 and 2010 to no avail. I also turned off proxy graphics and flattened the image, both items prompted pop-up windows saying these things were issues. Regardless, the AutoCAD file would not open in Microstation.

I also exported to Microstation (v8 and v7). This appears to give me the linework but is not ideal.

Any feedback on compatibility would be much appreciated!

Are you working in AutoCAD, with a pure AutoCAD .DWG file? There should be no proxy objects if so. Can you attach the DWG file here, or a slimmed down version of it that still exhibits the problem?
