Hello All,
In AutoCAD 2019 the conversion from mesh to solid doesn't work any more, when I try to convert a mesh (with the "smoothness" set to "None") to a solid the "smoothness" setting is changed automatically to "level 1" during the conversion. This means a mesh box of say 100x50x50 becomes a soap formed solid (and you can't change it).
I use meshes a lot for drawing steel structures because you can stretch an entire frame easily (which you can't with solids). But when I need to convert them to solids I don't want my beams looking like they have been on the bottom of the ocean for a decade (which is what I get now).
This feature has worked brilliantly in previous versions of AutoCAD (2013/2015/2017) with no problems at all.
