Memory usage spikes and pausing

I am using 2020 ACAD with C3D and I am having issues with my CAD Freezing and pausing on even the simplest of drawings. We are talking about files with 20 or 30 polylines and some mtext. I open up my Task Manager and see ACAD spiking a use of 817MB of Memory just when I try to move the cursor across the screen. Any advice would be great, but I am about to wipe my computer and start over.

R2020/C3D2020 is not new: is this a sudden new problem?
Or a new PC?
Or a new install minus all the 2020 updates?
Or gremlins from list nights' Microsoft updates?
Or is today work-remotely day?

You've not shared much info from what I can tell: let us know more details.

Resetting the program(s) would be the first thing to try, then just logging in as a new user on the PC to test IMHO instead of wasting your time with a PC wipe.
