Hi to all,

does anyone know why the vertical line shows up on the right side of the inner window (drawing window) in Autocad 2016? Tried everything, looked everywhere but still cant find a solution for it... I would greatly appreciate any help, that just drives me nuts...

Hi,

I can't see that border when my AutoCAD 2016 is maximized, not with Windows 7, not with Windows 10.

What are your system specs, what graphic card do you use, what service pack of AutoCAD do you have installed?

PS: >>>crossposting<<< does not help, it's only more work.

Not seeing it here in R2016 either: it almost looks like a scroll bar.
Do you have SP1 installed? What is your Windows OS?

That's been a bug for years, although I didn't experience it personally until AutoCAD 2015.  I don't have it on my work computer, but do on my single-monitor home computer.  I don't know of any way to fix it and neither does Autodesk, apparently.

Work:  AutoCAD 2022.1.3, Windows 10 Pro v22H2 64-bit, Intel Core i7-8700K, 64GB RAM, Samsung 960 Pro SSD, AMD Radeon Pro WX 5100, 3 Dell Monitors (3840x2160)

Hello again,

nrz13, I've been searching for a solution and came across your post about the same problem, with no solution so far:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-2013-2014-2015-2016-2017/autocad-2015-border-glitch/td-p/4902...

Yesterday I installed v. 2015 and v. 2016 on Win7 machine- problem still there. Today I installed another v.2016 on a Dell Workstation with a nVidia m2000m video card- problem still persists... and now I'm about to give up and roll back to v2014... I mean, do I have an option?

yes its been a bug for years as stated !!!!

Sometimes I see it on both sides and bottom.

Usally I can see my desktop image thru them.

Yes the window is maximized !!!

The top section where the menus are is fine..........

Windows 7 Enterprize 16gig RAM FirePro V3900 certified card.

Ron

Note: 2017 seems to be a little better !!! (Maybe because it does not use the same display engine (Whatever it's called) where 2015-2016 had used a different one. This is when I started getting crashes every day with 2015-16 !

Like I said, I never found a solution, although others have reported the same problem in 2011, 2012, and 2014, at least, in addition to 2015 and 2016.  I'll have to check tonight if it's still there in AutoCAD 2017.

I just wanted to confirm that the problem is still there in AutoCAD 2017 for me as well.

I wouldn't assume 2013 would be any better than 2012 or 2014.

Hi,

I have the same problem in Autocad 2018. I encountered the problem only a few days ago. Also have a problem with the grid of the drawing window and layout windows as you can see in the images below. Why Autodesk don't fix this bug?

Yes, now the display grid is working well. But the strange vertical strip on the right still persist. It's a bug as i read in the forum so there isn't any solution for it at the moment.Thank you for helping 😉

Hi,

So it's your graphic card driver, not AutoCAD

For me a bug is something that makes it impossible to work or if something does not work as described in the help.

Please let me know where the problem is (if it's not again the graphic card driver) that you have that small vertical line of 2 or 3 pixel. It is not beautiful, but where is the "real" problem?

Yes it was my graphic card driver. Autocad is working with the integrated graphics adapter. I want to configure the advanced graphics card. How can i do it?
