Materials Inventor VS AutoCad ("Core" Vs "Appearance")

Autodesk Inventor has their materials set up so you can have both a ”core” material, and then an “appearance” material (so basically you can say that a wall is made out of drywall. But it has this nice colorful paint on it).  Is AutoCAD ever going to adopt that type of material attachment to its objects?

Hi Dolson83,

Very good question. I know we have adopted Material / Appearance in other Autodesk products.

Hopefully, they will do the same for AutoCAD but I don't have a definate answer.

I will ask development if they have plans and get back to you with an answer.
