Match Properties not working on overlapping layers

After selecting the match property option I am unable to change the overlapping layers. I have to click where there is no overlap to change it. Before I was able to change the above layer in case of overlapping layers. But it has changed now, can you please tell me how can I change it back so that I can change overlaylayers with Match Properties

Hi,

Turn ON SELECTIONCYCLING ( System Variable) = 2 . also you can Press Ctrl+W to toggle the current setting on and off. >> Click <<

Maybe it's the LTGAPSELECTION , try changing it and see if you get the results you want.

No, it did not work. 😞
I noticed that when I am going for the second layer (that needs to be
matched) if the cursor square is on two layers then it won't work, but if
that cursor on that layer only it changes it successfully. Any way to
change that? Coz it was not like that before.

Hi,

as i told you ( message #2 )  , make sure that your Selectioncycling is ON , then use MATCHPROP command as shown below . when you click over your overlapped objects a small dialog will appear to select your needed one .
