Hello all!
I am working on some architectural drawings in AutoCAD.
I have my units set to Architectural with precision at 0'0"
When drawing for instance a 2ft line,
I'd like to be able to type 2 and then press enter without pressing the ' key
AutoCAD defaults this to inches
Is there anyway to make feet the base unit?

Hello @Anonymous,
Thanks for posting & being a part of Answer Day.
You can type & use the UNITS command, specify an array of things in this case you would change the "Drawing Units" to feet.

What's been suggested is what Civil Engineers do regularly. But do you want to be able to use Architectural type Dimensions, showing feet and inches and fractions, or Engineering type with feet and decimal inches? If that's needed, the drawing unit must be an inch.
