Lost the on screen right click menu 'select similar' command

I've configured my AutoCAD so that my right mouse button operates as the 'ENTER' button. I type C for example, and right click, a circle command instantly is on screen. This bypasses the normal right click menu screen which usually comes up, and is a much faster way to work in my opinion.

How do I get the default right click menu to appear? At the moment I hold SHIFT and then right click to get the OSNAP setting menu window, but how do I get the standard right click window with this 'selectsimilar' command?! Can't think how to do this. If there is anyway of doing this, and keeping my preferred way to work (using the right mouse button as an ENTER button), then let me know.

in tools/options/user preferences

right click customizations

you have some options, including delay which allows the right click to do both, enter, or menu

if your using it just for enter, after a key stroke, may i suggest the space bar, its right there by your thumb

Select Similar is not in the OOTB default shortcut menu. It is in the edit shortcut menu so if you click on a object and then right click it should be there. If you want to add it to the default menu, you can do so in the cui.

If your looking for a faster way of getting basic commands done id like to sugest a different mouse.

Razer Naga

With 16 buttons you can have a whole group of commands at your fingertips. For instance i have:

Esc

Enter

P

Ctrl enter

Model view

Layout 1

Layout 2

Layer 1

Layer 2

Layer 3

Close

Ortho

Snaps

Line

Circle (with enter at the end of the macro so you don't have to press)

That's the answer. Using the cui I've dragged the command over to the shortcut menu object snap cursor (which is the menu I get when I right click) and also to the default shortcut menu as well (the menu I get with a longer press of the right mouse button).
Should speed things up. Cheers.

I'm using a 3DConnexion Cad Mouse. By far the best mouse I've used for CAD. I'd put money on this mouse, in the Octogon, against your mouse. 😛

I found that the PICKFIRST variable had set itself to 0, instead of 1. This is why we were missing "Select Similar" even when selecting objects before right-clicking.
