I would recommend to setup your screen to a Vports configuration so you can select in any VPORT and move to the other one

Hi and Welcome to AutoDesk Previous,

I suggest to use Previous (P) when you switch to another view and while asking for select objects. select your objects in plan view then make fake(uncompleted) command like move or copy then cancel it switch to another view and active your needed command and when asked for select objects type P

I guess this is not as good as Configuring Your Screen Using VPORTS since
it's not transparent. You Select something, move to a view and use previous
but' to select again, you need to go to the plan View again, a bit tedious,
while moving from one vport to the other, is transparent, you pick a
selection in one viewport, move to the other one, and your selection is
still active!
Thanks
Danny K.

Since I'm not a big fan of splitting my drawing screen, I usually invoke the PSELECT command, then get my last selection with P (like imadhabash wrote).

Anyway, the dannyk's solution is also nice.
